Can De Haan offer a comprehensive move scenario for our office move?
Certainly, an office move requires a thorough plan and coordination. We will gladly utilize and share with you our expertise in office moves in order to minimize the “idle time” during your move.
Moving tips for office and project moves
Can we buy or rent moving boxes?
Normally we utilize the required moving boxes estimated and included in our quotation we offered you. If you wish, you may rent or buy moving boxes. In case of rental, the price is approximately € 2,05 per box and you may keep the boxes for one month. A deposit is required for the rented moving boxes, which will be refunded upon return of the boxes in good condition. You may also buy used moving boxes. The price depends on the type of moving box. Examples of moving boxes we have to offer are archive boxes, computer boxes, book boxes, and of course, the standard moving boxes.
What happens if, for example, our board room table does not fit into the interior elevator?
De Haan has all necessary moving equipment and experience in order to solve such problems. Use of an external elevator or crane can also be arranged.
Can De Haan move heavy equipment?
Certainly, we can move machines, copier machines, etc. We have all necessary moving equipment and experience required.
If our employees carry out the packing, is everything insured?
The insurance and general terms and conditions make a clear distinction between boxes packed by the movers and boxes packed by the client. If you pack the boxes yourself, you assume responsibility for the packing; therefore, you are not insured.

Certainly, our personnel are specially trained to handle these matters.
Can you arrange for a (temporary) handyman and/or concierge?
Absolutely, De Haan has numerous employees who perform handyman/concierge services for diverse companies. These temporary positions are ideal for companies during the relocation process to perform various maintenance jobs, allowing your employees to focus on their own responsibilities.
How does De Haan execute the move of our computers? Do you also reconnect and test the computers?
We have special computer boxes for computers. These boxes provide the safest manner of transport to your new location. Our computer boxes are able to accommodate monitors up to 21 inches. After the computers are connected at their assigned location, we can also coordinate testing of the computers.
Does De Haan provide protection for the walls, floors and elevator?
Certainly, De Haan will take proper measures to protect the new and old office locations to prevent any possible damage. Examples of these preventive measures include:
protection of doorjambs and wall corners by covering with
plastic corner protectors;
protection of walls, floors and elevators by covering with cardboard;
further protective measures will be determined upon inspection of your
location.
Do
you also work during the weekend and/or at night?
Yes, that is not a problem. We understand that you would like to minimize your “down time” and therefore require a moving company that is flexible. Working weekends and/or nights is a part of our normal practice.
Is there anything that De Haan is not able to arrange for my office move?
We have yet to receive a request that we are unable to accommodate!
