Since July 2023, De Haan has been in possession of a silver medal from EcoVadis. Silver medals are exclusively awarded to the top 15% of companies evaluated by EcoVadis. This percentile ranking is calculated across all industries, not within a specific sector, which fills us with tremendous pride.

EcoVadis is an international platform that sheds light on the sustainability practices of various players in production chains. It primarily focuses on the international business market, encompassing companies engaged in trade with other enterprises across 200 procurement categories in more than 175 countries. These companies often form part of intricate international supply chains.

The significance of sustainability in the supply chain
The EcoVadis platform, closely aligned with leading international standards such as the Global Compact of the United Nations, assists companies in selecting suppliers based on their sustainability performance in these global supply chains.

Environmental, social, and ethical performance prerequisites
The comprehensive evaluation involves assesment of the full spectrum of sustainability risks and performance management, covering themes like Environment, Ethics, Labor and Human Rights, and sustainable procurement.

In The Netherlands, De Haan is a 'recognized moving company' (Dutch: Erkende Verhuizer). When you choose an Erkende Verhuizer, you're opting for quality and peace of mind. Every registered moving company has to meet the requirements imposed by Erkende Verhuizers – the Dutch trade organization that oversees the industry in the Netherlands.
