I had De Haan move my stuff (about 2 m3) from Barcelona to the Netherlands. Thanks to the transport in a combination journey (moving items from several households in 1 truck), this was possible without paying the main prize. The move went satisfactorily and communication with De Haan was excellent. The only bad thing was that at a late moment a request came from the movers to come and load a day earlier than the agreed loading date. I did feel a bit pressured to agree to this, which meant that I had one day less time to pack, but luckily this turned out to be fine in the end.

I was very happy with De Haan’s service.They were super flexible and assisted me during some very complicated period with a lot of understanding and patience.\nThey basically saved me after another company (Smilda) cancelled my move one week before the move date.\nUnlike other companies, de Haan didn’t take advantage of the desperate situation in which I was at that point and gave me a really fair price. Another point was that I changed my destination from Portugal to Spain while my stuff was still in the storage in the Netherlands. Instead of charging me more, they gave me a partial refund since the tariff   to the new destination was cheaper. I don’t think many service providers would have done that. I recommend them to anyone who plans a move, their move coordinators are very patient and showed great understanding to my situation.

Loading and unloading are carried out quickly and professionally and punctually as announced in good time by the coordinator. You know exactly where you stand. Tip from the movers: invest in good sturdy boxes if you want to pack yourself. The quality of the moving boxes from the hardware store is even poor for single use.

Logistic challenges arising due to the corona outbreak has been solved by De Haan in a for me very satisfactory way.

Departure country (the Netherlands) experienced, professional and very friendly staff. Top team and service 100%. Land of arrival (Spain) Dutch driver skilled, friendly and experienced. Hired staff from other moving company had less experience and less communication as the Dutch team. Both teams worked hard and all items arrived at their destination without damage. As a customer, we are very satisfied with the work delivered.

Few boxes bumped / slightly damaged, however, no damage to the contents (not everything unpacked).

Stating goods that cannot be packed in boxes months before the move takes place, appears to be a problem when these goods are calculated as extra later on, even if it's within the agreed volume. Move went fast and well, right on time with fast working personnel. 

Requested for 2 cbm, became around 1 cbm, brought to Alblasserdam; had to pay €440 before the move, though I'm a regular client (8 times for sure); no spontaneous feedback about an eventual part to be paid back; communication in Alblasserdam was lacking, but kind.
