Do you want to move your piano?

Do you have a piano or grand piano and want it moved? De Haan can help you with this. We work with the best specialists in the field to ensure your piano is moved in a safe manner.

Moving

A piano weighs about 150 to 350 kilos. How can we prevent damage to this particular instrument or damaging your house while moving it? We do this by placing so-called floor pads, depending on the floor. The specialized staff has experience and put this in special materials. Moving a grand piano is different than a regular piano. This therefore requires special materials for a safe move.

Even if the instrument should be moved from or to a higher floor it won't be an issue for us. We have special lifts or cranes available.

Crates or packing

If the relocation of the instrument is going via shipping container overseas, we provide a safe packaging (crates). Anything to protect your valuable asset as much as possible.

Tune

Wait with tuning the piano up to 1 or 2 months after the move. The piano needs some time to acclimatise and unwind.

Communication was excellent, but the estimate was too high and there was no final reconciliation of the costs, meaning you are locked into an overestimated price. Communication between the moving crews during loading and unloading could also be improved. If the loading team accepts heavy boxes, it is rather surprising that the unloading team then makes a strong remark about them

For the second time, I chose De Haan relocation, and once again I am extremely satisfied. The first time, they handled my move from the Netherlands to Switzerland, and now they have completely taken care of my relocation from Switzerland back to the Netherlands.
