Clearance

Once your furniture arrives in the country of destination it must first go through customs. We ensure that customs is aware of your shipment and we hand over the documents, so that the clearance process can be started. The clearance is required for countries outside the European Union, such as Switzerland, Norway and recently the United Kingdom.

Full guidance

De Haan will, possibly together with her partner, guide the entire clearance process. Please note that in some countries you must be present yourself during the clearance process in the country of destination. In some cases you have to identify yourself at the customs post. Obviously we will inform you about this in the first step of your relocation process.

We had an excellent experience with De Haan Relocation. They promptly responded to our information inquiries. The staff expertly answered all our questions, and a quote was promptly provided thereafter. The pickup, packing, and removal of the goods were well-organized. The staff knew how to disassemble the goods, and the antique cabinet was expertly packed in a custom-made crate. The information flow about shipping dates and arrival dates was excellent. De Haan's staff kept us informed of all steps in the transportation process and contacted us immediately after the goods arrived to inquire if we had received any updates on local handling, customs clearance, and delivery of the goods. Nothing but praise. Emails and phone calls were short and efficient. Great! Friendly and knowledgeable movers. They managed to get the table to the attic without any problems through the staircase. I believe De Haan rightfully has a very good reputation in the moving business. I hope not to have to move again in 10 years, but IF it happens, I'll call De Haan
