Clearance

Once your furniture arrives in the country of destination it must first go through customs. We ensure that customs is aware of your shipment and we hand over the documents, so that the clearance process can be started. The clearance is required for countries outside the European Union, such as Switzerland, Norway and recently the United Kingdom.

Full guidance

De Haan will, possibly together with her partner, guide the entire clearance process. Please note that in some countries you must be present yourself during the clearance process in the country of destination. In some cases you have to identify yourself at the customs post. Obviously we will inform you about this in the first step of your relocation process.

From start to finish, my experience with De Haan has been very good. In particular, they excel with communication; I felt well taken care of whenever I had questions. The staff in the office, and the movers on the day, were terrific. I recommend De Haan! It was a sister company that shifted my goods once in Toronto, and they were equally superb! \nMy only hesitation is in regard to how kitchen items were wrapped.
