Product for product: another step taken in circularity

Certificaat Milieuservice Nederland en De Haan verhuizingen

As a family owned relocation company, corporate social responsibility is important to our business, it’s in our DNA so to speak. That is why a sustainable route with the lowest possible impact on the environment is also an integral part of our mission and vision.

Circularity when moving

For us, circularity means both minimizing failure and wastage of raw materials, materials and services and maximizing their value in our roles as buyer and supplier. We do to this through the useful application of materials, extending the lifespan of products and parts, as well as finding new ‘smarter’ ways of making and using products.

Development of our own, fully recyclable protective film

By entering into discussions with our suppliers, we already developed our own protective film in 2020. Our protective film now consists entirely of one type of recyclable PE instead of built-up layers from different origins. So 100% recyclable!

Separating material flows for circularity

We separate paper, cardboard, plastic and residual waste for maximum reuse. Our new state-of-the-art in-house press containers also push the content as much as possible. As a result, fewer transport movements are required and therefore cause fewer CO2 emissions.

New: Product for product

Ideally, circularity does not only mean that you do not throw away waste, but that you re-use it as a raw material for creating another product. In collaboration with Milieudienst Diemen, our ambition took shape and we are taking another step to become more sustainable. We now buy our own supplies from our collected paper, cardboard and PE. For example, our own paper, pens and box cutters. How beautiful and durable is that! Today we received a wonderful acknowledgment from Milieuservice Nederland for this idea.

Together we make the difference!
