One can't realize sustainable moving alone

Applying the core values ​​that characterize De Haan as an internationally certified, recognized moving company and relocation specialist, we unburden and move our customers in such a way that they feel at home again as quickly as possible.

How do you move sustainably?

We prefer to move as sustainably as possible. How?
-By paying attention to the well-being, safety and health of our employees.
-By many social initiatives, such as sponsoring access to clean drinking water in and around Mombasa, Africa. As a 'Gold Partner' we donate every year a minimum of € 2,500 per year. In this way we offer schools the certainty of clean drinking water.
-By waste prevention and the use of sustainable materials, such as the installed solar panels and LED lights in our storage.

Focus on sustainable moving

Transport management should of course not be missing in this list. And what beautiful results has our focus on sustainability in 2021 delivered! We started driving on vegetable waste oil in January 2021. An electric car was added for the field service in February 2021. Plus in May 2021 the new forklift was put into service to make more effective use of our cubic meter space.

You never realize sustainable moving on your own

Realizing sustainable relocations is an improvement process that is never finished. You can never move sustainably on your own.
Together with our Product by Product supplier, we convert our own waste into something useful.
In collaboration with ‘GroenBalans’, we realized a beautiful CO₂ compensation project with four windparks in Taiwan in 2021.
In collaboration with our chain partner ‘CTR’ an additional 88 trees were planted in Eindhoven and Ghana on behalf of De Haan Relocation in 2021 for the protection of forests and biodiversity.

On to 2022
The year in which De Haan will exist for 245(!) years. Proof that sustainability is in our DNA!
